How to cancel or pause an active recruitment or HR services engagement.
This policy explains how an employer can cancel or pause an ongoing, paid recruitment or HR services engagement with Sarwin HR Solutions. It does not apply to the free enquiry stage, which carries no commitment and requires no cancellation.
If you wish to cancel or temporarily pause an active engagement — such as an ongoing search for a permanent role, a contract staffing arrangement, or HR outsourcing services — notify your assigned point of contact at Sarwin HR Solutions in writing, or write to us at enquiries@sarwinhrsolutions.com, stating the engagement reference and the requested cancellation or pause date.
We ask that cancellation or pause requests be raised with reasonable advance notice, as specified in your signed service agreement. This allows us to wind down active sourcing work in an orderly way and, where relevant, communicate appropriately with candidates already in process. Where no specific notice period is stated in your agreement, we request at least a few business days' notice wherever possible.
If candidates are already in an active pipeline — for example, shortlisted, scheduled for interview, or awaiting an offer — at the time of cancellation, we will share the current status of that pipeline with you before closing out the engagement. Any interviews or steps already scheduled with candidates will typically be honoured or formally closed out rather than left unresolved.
Cancelling or pausing an engagement does not cancel fees already earned for work completed up to the cancellation date under the terms of your service agreement. Any outstanding invoices for work delivered prior to cancellation remain payable. Fees for work not yet performed, or for future billing periods that have not commenced, will not be charged following cancellation.
A paused engagement can generally be resumed by notifying your point of contact, subject to reconfirming the current scope, timeline, and pricing, since role requirements and market conditions can change over time.
